Single permit processing 2025
Hello Everyone,
If someone know, could you please let me know which application dates are currently being processed for the Single Permit visa? (First time, not extension)
Region: Flanders
Application date: 20/05/2025
Work Permit: 30/05/2025
Resident Permit: Waiting
Thank you in advance for your help.

@Blue Horizonn
It appears that they are processing applications from early to mid-May. However, it's a bit random and depends on each application. Maybe you'll hear back in 1-3 weeks.
Region: Brussels
Application date: 09/05/2025
Admissible: 14/05/2025
WP: 15/05/2025

Those delays are crazy 😬😬last years it wasn’t like this… people that applied in April are still waiting? Not normal! My friend bqck in 2023 did apply in April she got her RP in July. This is really worrying
So few days ago was my deadline (4 months since WP) and on that exact date they asked my employer for a scan of my passport (all pages) and they mentioned that since they asked for aditional documents they have few more weeks of processing. I feel like it's done on purpose on that exact date so I wouldn't be able to receive RP automatically... i really find it weird that after 4 months of waiting they are asking for aditional documents.
@Luke Blackk
most of the time, the decision is given short after they request additional documents. You may hear from them soon.
@a19
Hi, I got my Annex 46 today! Hope yours comes through soon. I also contacted IBZ and mentioned that the 4 months waiting time for the single permit processing was almost over, and two days later I get the residence permit approved...
Hope yours comes quickly too. It is a frustrating process.

I'm applying for Brussels, and I need to submit everything before September 18, but I'm not sure what to do since I'm still waiting on Annex 46.
Would really appreciate any guidance you can share.

I recently received my Work Permit for Belgium, but my visa process is still pending because we are waiting for Annex 46 to be issued.
Could anyone who has gone through a similar process please share:
How long did it take to receive Annex 46 after the Work Permit approval?
Are there any steps I can take to expedite the process?
Is there any authority or contact point where I can follow up for updates?
This delay is affecting my travel plans and job onboarding.
Application received Date: 11/08/2025

Sorry I didn’t understand what you are applying or waiting for ?
@Ramakrishnan Ramar
Hello, If I am understanding you properly, you have recieved your work permit on 11-08-2025. I think the reseidence permit processing time is around 17 weeks as per flanders website.
May be down the line it will get faster.

Have you tried calling them?
I tried calling them but all they say is to drop a mail and standard timeline to process single permit is 16 weeks. for work permit it is standard 12 weeks, and I received it but a little delay.
but annexure 46 is getting very delayed.
Since it was 2 months and I haven't received an update on my work permit, I called the Flanders authorities, then they asked my employer for extra documents regarding the company. Now I called them this week, and they mentioned they are coordinating with another Belgian agency (probably outsourcing some process). Anyone has similar experience with their work permit?
@Eline Paul
it is not always like that. In 2022, I applied first week of October 2022 and got my RP in February 2023
but what works most time is to call them when you feel like it is taking too long
Is Single Permit applications processed by Ministry ny whiich order fro past expereinces? employer wise or by workmpermit start date? Or Admissablity date what is the criteria. Any chances to expedite when employer calls or writes to ministry.

@gzeeshanarif
Do you know when your application was termed admissible? Seems like it has been 120 days, now maybe you can nudge them for Annex 47. Do you know why it took so long for your work permit? I'm also facing some delay with that.
Region: flanders

Still waiting for work permit.
They reached out to me after the 3 weeks deadline requesting additional documents.
It's been 2 weeks since I provided them.
Is it normal to wait more than 6 weeks for the work permit alone?
I've seen that some people got it in 2 days
For me it took more than 4 months to get annex 47. First step was pretty fast though.
It started around April 2025 and received final results start of September.
Does anyone know what happenns after? Should town hall invite me to finish the process and get the card? Asking because waiting time in townhall is more than 3 months and I really hope that for these cases it’s a different process….
@alexsun951
No, we asked for Annex 46 since they passed the 120 days threshold but still no reply yet.

Does anyone got anex 46 who applied in mid May?
@TJ_Bel
it's so crazy. I got my WP on 29th April, but still waiting for the RP.
Can Someone help me to find a solution for situation below?
I am on student visa and it expires on 31/10/2025. (I failed my repeat subject). One company agreed to offer a work permit within next week and ready to apply for my single permit. But they need to start working 20 hrs/week from next week .
Can i start working as soon as I get the WP approved from flanders region and obtain annexure 49 ? or else Should I work 20 hrs/week until 31/10/2025 and wait till whole single permit process completes? I am on a tricky timeline and & I really appreciate your kind advices.
Thanks
@gaya96
Normally if you obtain the first approval ( work authorization) the commune will give u an annex 49 waiting for your full single permit. Will you be able to work full time with that or not, I am not sure, better send an email to your commune or go ask them directly to get a definitive answer
