Single permit processing 2025
Hello everyone,
I’m Ramakrishnan Ramar, and I’m new to this forum.I have already received my Single Permit and submitted a request for Annexure 46 at the immigration office on August 8, 2025.
Could anyone please share how long it usually takes to receive Annexure 46 after applying? Your guidance and experiences would be very helpful.
Thank you in advance!
Hi,
Single Permit means combined permit that has both work and residency permit. So holding a single permit means also having a Annex 46. I assume you have received your work permit and ur file now is being forwarded to IBZ for residency permit. It would take around 3 months to get annex 46 lately.
good luck

Hi,
no worry. I have applied on April, got my work permit at the end of April, which is valid from May 25. I called IBZ and they said they take this May 25 date into consideration when it comes to assess the application. They also said that the decision will be made on very end of this month. So I think you will hear from IBZ soon also.

They might have also asked your employer for an extra document as it is a new company also your first application. You may call IBZ and ask about your file.
@umutgulum
106 days have passed and no response. I only received Noreply on the 4th and since June he has not responded to messages. I do not know why he does not inform me about the status of the application. If it is rejected, will they send me a rejection letter?
@Zinochi543
if you are not able to reach your employer, you can call IBZ directly or send them an email describing your situation. I would say since it is a new company and is your first application, additional documents may have been requested from your employer.
@umutgulum
Will I have obtained a work permit? My application was submitted on May 5, but how will I contact them? I don’t know my bisnumber or file number. This is very worrying. As for additional documents, will they contact me directly?
@Zinochi543
They just ask your full name and date of birth in the region and then tell you if the work permit is given or not.
@Zinochi543
arbeidskaart@vlaanderen.be, this is for the flanders region. I'm not sure about the ibz one.
@Zinochi543
IBZ email
infodesk@ibz.fgov.be
@Zinochi543
No, They will contact with your employer if the extra documents are needed. Your full name and birthday will be enough to ask the details about your file. I see that you are worried a lot. Do not pls. You will hear from them eventually.
@umutgulum
Yes, because he does not respond to your questions. I just wanted to know about the work permit, and this is very worrying. It has been 3.5 months and I do not know anything about my application. Even if it is rejected, let me know so I can look for another job. My friend, do they contact me with an official letter in case of rejection?
I am afraid the rejection letter will be delivered to your employer. If this would be the case already, you would have received an update from your employer I guess. As we discussed before, call or email IBZ, thats the easiest way to learn whether the work permit is granted or not.
good luck
If you have previous experience with cases, will the foreign worker be sent a letter of rejection from the region upon completion of the procedure? My application in Flanders is for a shortage profession.
Hi @Ramakrishnan Ramar,
Can I ask what was your process timings and in which region you applied?
Hello everyone
Hello members, I just want to ask, when the application is rejected, do they send the foreign worker a letter of rejection, and when it is accepted, does ibz send a copy of the decision to the foreign worker, or does it just send a letter to the employer
Best regards
I spoke with IBZ and currently they are processing applications that got delivered to them at 05.05.2025
@Luke Blackk
So they are processing work perits granted around 05.05.2025 and not applications submitted at the above mentioned date. Please correct me if I am wrong.
i am still waiting on my application that got first accepted by the economic in 25/04, it’s crazy.
@Jojo12344321
Not sure when your application was deemed admissible, but haven't you already passed the 120 days deadline? Maybe you can request Annex 47.
It was admissible by the 25th of April as well. Same day as the WP. I called them and they told me send an email with the details and a copy of the WP approval. I did that and they only forwarded me to “the relevant serviceâ€
@Jojo12344321
I sent the email yesterday and got that response yesterday as well. Idk if I should ask for the annex 47 myself or wait longer. My HR is not available either.
@Suyog Ghadge
Yess - i received my work permit on the 05.05.2025 but IBZ got my files on 12.05.2025 so they count it from the day they receive it which can vary in different cases.
@Luke Blackk
How do you know at what day they recieved your file? Did they mentioned that in the email?
@Zinochi543
You can call the Work and Economy Department to check whether you received the first approval, or to ask what decision has been taken. They are friendly and usually respond quickly. You can reach them at +32 2 553 43 00. You’ll only need your name and date of birth.
If you have already received the first approval (work approval), your file should normally be transferred to the Immigration Office (IBZ). That department is responsible for issuing the residence permit (second approval) together with the Annex 46.
That being said, the fact that your employer is not responding to you at all is a serious red flag. In the worst case, they may have cancelled the application and decided not to proceed.
Sometimes the Work and Economy Department asks for additional documents before granting approval. In that case, your employer receives a notice and has 15 days to provide the missing documents. If they don’t, your application will be declared inadmissible and will not move forward. If your employer is not communicating with you, this could be a major risk.
Given these circumstances, I would be very cautious with this employer.
I hope this message helps you understand where to start. My best advice is to call the Work and Economy Department at the number above as soon as possible to get clarity.
I contacted them and they rejected the request because the company is new and the employer was evasive. This is insulting and unprofessional. We wasted time and effort. Thanks to everyone who responded and good luck to everyone.

This is my indefinite work permit application but I think treatment for residency permits doesn't differ. so it gives you an idea for processing times.
Good luck everyone
