Ground floor, one storey home rentals by jazzpaz

Are there *any* ground floor, one story homes (houses, condos, apartments, duplexes, townhouses, etc?) for rent in Mexico? Other than the small border towns near Texas l can't find anything for an old woman who can't climb stairs.

jazzpaz

Thank you all! We decided on Saltillo Coahuila, and got a realtor there. She spoke very good English (my wife and I are learning Spanish) and she showed us several nice places. We love the one we're renting so much that we would like to purchase it. ... Read More

I recently moved from Houston, Texas to Saltillo, Coahuila with little more than my wife and my dog.All the advice l heard was to count on replacing what we needed once we arrived.I'm appealing to those who have more experience here to guide me to ...

@MexicoAfterlife I suspect it's a "no car thing". I sold mine in Houston before we moved because my residency is permenant, so I couldn't drive it into Mexico. I'm seeing that I am missing out on a lot more than grocery deals by not knowing the ... Read More

Electronic communication in Mexico by Clay Daniel

I just moved from the US to Puerto Escondido. I have already learned that people here don't use email much. Nearly everyone uses whatsapp. I've had it for several days now, and it is better than email, and you can make calls. And its free. Not sure ...

jazzpaz

That's been my experience too. Whatsapp took a little bit to figure out, but it's used almost exclusively in Mexico. It's worth it to become involved. Read More

@MexicoAfterlife I did try Mercado Libre, but they require a Mexican phone number to place orders, and mine's still an American plan. I will try Amazon Mexico. That's a great idea! Gracias. Read More

@Jsworrad, I did, and I was sorry. My hobbies are quilting and embroidery. It was difficult to source my supplies here, and quilting cotton does not exist. I wish l had brought more appropriate clothes. In Houston everyone wears sandals and shorts ... Read More

Is Mexico sending all its best to the USA? by jazzpaz

Where are y'all buying the plump, fresh produce l keep seeing pictures of? I have purchased fresh fruits and vegetables at the regular grocery stores, and at the tiendas my neighbors frequent, but everything is half past soft on the shelves, and ...

jazzpaz

In the USA "organic" can mean virtually anything. Whole Foods used to hold itself to strict standards, evaluated by outside parties but I don't know if that's still the case.I don't require "organic" but l would like to buy as close to the source as ... Read More
