Your best culinary memory in Mexico

Mickael

Hello everyone,

As you know, every country has its own flavours and tasting the local cuisine is a great way to discover the culture of a destination. Whether it's a small typical restaurant to taste local dishes, a traditional meal in a local's home, street food or fast food, there is something for everyone!

So, which dish do you want to try in Mexico?
Which dish has impressed you the most and when did you discover it?
Do you know how to cook it and share it with your family?

Thank you for your taste contribution ;)

so much really wonderful fresh food in Mexico. One of the most memorable meals was at a small place Lunita in Akumal. For desert had a chocolate egg filled with maracuya, passion fruit.

Tamales with non-GMO corn. Many restaurants are revitalizing traditional corns. I recently had a beautiful tamale breakfast at Tamale Madre in CDMX.

Mi Amor in Tulum. Best fish tacos I've ever had. Brocoli dipped in tahini then fried were amazing and the cocktails were great. Second best "seafood" tacos were in Puerto Morelos at tacos dot com. He cooks it in front of you.

Chicken mole. But this dish can vary wildly. The best have been in a restaurant in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas; Frontera, Tabasco cooked by family of friends on a wood fire including the rice; a neighbor's granddaughter here in Campeche; mine, of which I have received many complements from native Mexicans; and oddly a Mexican restaurant in Grand Isle, Louisiana.

The first time I had tasted Shrimp Pizza ever, and it was from a fire roasted oven.
