Don't know if that will be the case but, according to some mass-media releases, Apple has less than 4% intellectual property rights on the LTE whereas Samsung owns more than 12%. Also, Apple bought the rights on numerous patents pertaining to this technology in the last few years but failed to release the product ahead of competitors. More than 40 companies own the patents related to the LTE standard.
