Word is now end of the year.

Definately closer to the end of the year, close to the source the plan is by September but I hear there are still some things to iron out.

An hour back, we had Carrefour Manager.
They are schedule to open in October.
Grocery and cold storage items are available from 3rd week of Oct.

Does anyone know if they have a proper deli? By proper I mean, with sliced cold cuts like turkey and sliced cheeses like cheddar. We lived in Egypt and we loved Carrefour. We've been waiting for it to open here, but I'm wondering how much it will be like the others??

FYI, we went today. The deli has sliced turkey and some other local cold cuts. They didn't have cheddar, but they had romy which is a favorite of ours that we ate in Egypt. The bakery is really nice. Overall I would say it was what I expected or a little better. I wish they'd carry a little bit more of a selection of middle eastern brands. There were a lot of the typical Kurdistan brands there.
