Iqdrive Driving School

Deb13

Avoid this company at all costs. I signed up with them in October 2018 for a course of  deiving lessons and it's June 2019 and I still haven't had a single lesson despite paying in full.
5 instructors assigned - when you contact them they are always fully booked or 2 hours away from the town where I live. The website advertises lessons in my town (Uden) but then they give me an instructor in Limburg.
Any suggestions on how I can expedite a refund would be greatly appreciated

Sorry to hear that you have been ripped off by these people.

If the company is iQdrive Rijopleidingen B.V (they promote themselves as 'the largest driving school in the NL', based in Rotterdam), then you are not alone. They have numerous 1* Google reviews stating that people have paid out but not had a single driving lesson.

Also, just checking some of the largest Dutch review and consumer complaint sites, there are even more posts of problems:

and

There's also an interesting article about their practices here from 3 years ago:

Personally, I never pay out far in advance for services of any kind and also try to pay as little as possible in stores with Maestro and always shop in stores (in the high street and online) that take a charge or credit card,. This has enabled me to get my money back in the past on quite a few occasions when transactions have gone wrong. I hardly ever use iDeal either if I can avoid it.

Before dealing with any company for the first time I always check out whether it has Google/consumer reviews. There are quite a few companies in the NL with bad reputations and even worse customer service. There are also many good companies. You just need to be very careful and steer clear of the bad ones!

Good luck, and hope you are able to get your lessons, or your money back.
