I was just looking at the possibility of taking my car with me, but I think that it is not really wise to do so. So it`s bye bye car.

Quite a few people do drive British cars in both Spain and Gib. You really don't need a car in Gib anyway apart from loading up at Morrisons (although we walk/bus/cycle for that).  Otherwise many people leave their cars parked up until they decide to go to Spain for the weekend.
