In case you are talking about appointments at your local "Ausl盲nderamt" (foreigner office): Many of them are understaffed and overworked and appointments can only be booked a long time in advance. Others (mainly in small towns and the Eastern states) are still o.k. It depends on your location - and yes, you have to apply in the place where you live (or intend to move to)!

@anthonyndungu867 Non-EU citizens have basically no chance to get a work visa for lowly skilled jobs like truck driver. But if you want to try applying for jobs nevertheless: Do you speak German and have a German truck driving license?

Don't forget the Driver CPC; it's a required training document across the whole of the EU; truck drivers can't be employed without it.

@anthonyndungu867 First and foremost, you need to learn German and check the driving license requirements - professional drivers need a different license than private ones!

Once you speak German (at least B1 level, better B2) and have the required licenses, you can apply for jobs at forwarding companies.
