Checking out Beziers as possible holiday home location

My family and I have (all EU citizens) been pooling ideas about buying a small shared holiday flat in southern France and Beziers seems to be a promising location in terms of size, transport and price. None of us has ever taken a step like this before so we鈥檙e uncertain of what kind of work/bureaucracy it will entail. If anyone here would like to explain the basics, I鈥檇 be very grateful for any pointers via the site鈥檚 direct messaging system! 鈥�

I鈥檓 also likely to be in the Beziers region in the 3rd week of March and plan to take a closer look at the town, so I could also arrange to meet someone with experience in the field. Thanks very much in advance for your help.
