Hi, I'm still learning to use this forum. I'm Hannah, a Zen practitioner and writer and art lover, moving from lovely but overly trendy and touristy Santa Fe New Mexico to the Narbonne area. I'm looking for a quiet life away from the orange menace in France where women are equal under the constitution and health care is a human right. I. looking for friends with similar interests, including holistic health exploring the area, sharing French classes, conversation exchange. I hope to arrive in May and am looking for a reasonable place to live with a cat ( very fastidious) in a quiet zone with a lift or a small house in town. If you know of a place and can share聽 I'd be grateful. Merci!

We are doing similar for similar reasons.

We are about to sell our RV, then our house in NY and then move to Beziers , a couple towns from Narbonne.

I was all set to move to the lovely town of Narbonne, until I saw a French youtube video about the open basin nuclear waste facility there and the high rate of fatal lung cancer. I was very disappointed for myself and sad that this was placed there in the 60s so close to this lovely historic town. Im headed to Perpignan!

Id like to know about English speaking expats of any nationality in the Perpignan area. Please message me. Merci.

@hanvenwey I thought that was a uranium processing plant near Narbonne, not a waste area.聽 I could be wrong.

The population has grown by 20,000 since the 1960s. I've found nothing to get alarmed about in the internet, don't believe everything on YouTube.
