Place an advert in the Job section for free, be sure to get references and that they have the right to work in the EU.

And are registered for tax, of course... 🤣🤣🤣

Joseph, you need to give specifics, what work, garden/house size, tools, location, and pay.

josephsaad44

@LuisCavalho

it is a house that needs to be demolished, trees to be cut, fence to be installed, storage to removed, basicely more work in the garden and on storage to destroy, I can leave the house for later.

@SimCityAT

@JimJ

I will do that since I have been through a lot with strange behaviors which led me to a point where I needed to think 100 times if they are capable to do the job or not, definitely need to have a contract yes.

thank you.

@josephsaad44

Do not make the mistake of thinking that a contract here, especially with an individual or a small business, offers you some sort of guarantee or security! Getting redress is expensive, long-winded and uncertain...

josephsaad44

@JimJ

any idea if so please?

have you been going through the same situation where its hard to get a loyale one?

I've spent over 20 years here trying to get decent workers/lawyers/doctors/mechanics and it's been close to impossible. I can't remember where your house is but I seem to recall that it's nowhere near Sofia, so I can't really be any help, I'm afraid ..ðŸ™

@JimJ

my house is an hour and quarter min from sofia towards varna off of main road in a village called golyama brestnitsa in lovech area.

it seems like I should start running my own business  if there will be no one to rely on. garden work is my love profession.

Small world - I know the village well! We nearly bought a house there years ago - the white one where the road forks as it comes up from Brestnitsa.  It's not a bad village, and definitely improving after the departure of a certain section of its population following the mass brawl a few years ago in which a Pomak was stabbed to death. A lot of the properties there are being renovated, so you shouldn't have any problem finding someone to do the work you need - just take stroll around and chat to the builders.

The majority of the people in the village are fine but do be warned that there are a couple of light-fingered folks living there still: don't leave anything valuable lying around, and make sure that your doors and windows are secured - the beggars will happily break in if you make it easy for them.  They'll also try the Pal Approach, so don't blithely assume that you've just made some new best friends and invite them in willy-nilly - they may just be trying to scope out what's worth stealing.

JimJ

PS Do beware of scammers: there is a wonderful British family living there who make in realise exactly what "salt of the earth" really means, but there have also been a bunch of feckless Brits, including a couple of wannabe "Bohemians" living in a house so grubby that would it make your skin crawl and running up debts and CCJs galore in the UK, leaving a trail of impoverished lenders in their wake (they've both turned up their toes so you don't need to worry about getting conned by then). There was also another guy who has an extremely unhealthy interest in children, but he was run out of town on a rail a while back co again you won't meet him.

I'd be interested to know which house you bought in the village - feel free to send me a PM if you'd prefer not to answer in public..
