@Srizzy
Did you apply eventually? I consider doing the same, but probably would consult with a lawyer about risks the unlimited single permit might entail of which I am possibly not aware. Happy to hear if you have any info on the matter. Thanks
Hi,
I submitted all the documents and received the no reply today, just to realize that I didn't legalize the criminal record attestation in the foreign affairs ministry properly, can the demand of SP be modified or is it too late !
Hi everyone!
Region: Brussels
Work field: consultant sap
No-reply: 22/08/2024
Work permit: Still waiting update from MOE
SP: Waiting
I am about to finish the 12th week for the work permit, but there is still no update on the employer page. I talked to the employer this week and they said immigrations teams will review and return to me. Is it normal for the work permit to take so long? I would be very grateful if someone who has an idea about the process can help.
@ievgenfeldmann
I don't understand what you mean, how does the expertise affect the duration of the work permit?
@gorkem yildirim
Easy they dont give permits to somebody who can be found within Belgium easy
@ievgenfeldmann
Thanks for your answer but I am sure that what you are saying is not in my case. One of the biggest consulting firms is running the process and the worker status is high skilled worker.
My wa was approved on Oct 1st but no updates on annex 46 yet. Is there no way to track the sp workflow?

Is this for renewal or new one?

@gorkem yildirim
Yes, it is possible. Sometimes they reply work permits very quickly and then it takes a lot of time for the residence permit. Sometimes it took a lot of time for the work permit and then residency permit comes really quick.
Normally in Brussels region, I assume it is faster but for flanders it can take up to 16 month in total for both.

Renewal Single Permit - Flanders

Admissible 16/10/2024Â Â
WP 16/10/2024
SP - 20/11/2024
Hello
I have a question, please. I want to change jobs and I'm hesitating between applying for a classic work permit or a "Personnel Hautement Qualifié" (Highly Qualified Worker) status. Is there a better option? Also, do you know what the processing time is when changing employers in Brussels for both types of requests?
Thank you very much!
Hi guys,Â
Any news on your applications? Does anyone know which dates are currently being processed for the RP ?
Hello,
I am in the process of changing my employer and waiting for my WP approval. Meanwhile I am in my notice period, which will last until 10 January. Currently I have a residence card valid until 2026 linked to my current (old) employer. So, I have some questions regarding my travel for Christmas (I leave next week):
-Can I travel if my WP is approved before I leave? Do I need to give my current card to commune and get an annexe? Or I can keep my card and travel?
-What happens if my WP is approved while I am outside Belgium? As I will not be able to go to commune
Thank you in advance.
@Esra gecer
I am in the same situation, I am changing employeur, I would like to know if the medical certificate is mandatory to make the request. Do you have any idea about the processing time for work permit if it is the Brussels region?THANKS
Hello
please it is urgent, to change employer and region it is considered as a new request or a renewal ?
Thank you so much
@Nizar Turki
Hello Nizar, I have changed my job recently, and my new company submitted the single permit application with the "Renew request" request type. I got my WP, but I'm still waiting for RP. I hope this helps.
@Esra gecer
Hello Esra, you will be summoned to commune once your RP is approved. So, your WP approval does not affect your residency card. You should be able to travel without a problem. I was in the same situation btw.
@Nizar Turki
Yes, I changed from Brussels to Flanders.
I received my RP today. Here is my timeline
Renewal Single Permit - Flanders

Application date - 13/11/2024
WP - 02/12/2024
SP -Â waiting
Any idea on when should I expect the annex 46?
@Nimo1
Whom shall I call to know status of my application? Is it just the employer or can I call immigration department as well?
@Suyog Ghadge
Your employer is as clueless as you. The only thing your employer can do is to come. Personally, I will advice you call them and ask them. For them to pick your call, you should target calling as exactly as 8am on the dot.
They will likely tell you they are working on it and you should give them but I think the call itself will make them fast track it if your submitted application documents are complete.

@dj68
How you know wp issued?
Is it true that individuals can also check the status of their single permit application using this website single-permit(dot)socialsecurity(dot)be/#/home. Someone also said that it's only the employer that can check the status. Has anyone used the link to check their SP/WP application status?
Hi all,
I will work as a postdoc at LUB soon, and HR is dealing with some paperwork for my single permit application. I read all the comments, and it seems getting the approval in the Brussels region takes about 2 months, but it can take up to 4 months tho. By any chance, does anyone know if the job starting date is also a factor in the decision process? If the starting date is 4 months from now, will it be effective in getting my single-entry residence permit faster than if it is 6 months from now? Thanks in advance.
