Happy New Year Julien! 🎉
@Julien
I am a Nigerian fashion designer, seeking for a good tailor in Vietnam to do my Master class Traifor 3-6Months period.
Hey Ya'll, my name is Eric and I live in Minneapolis. my partner Jessica and I visited Vietnam in January and February of 2024. I felt more at home there by the second day, than I have ever felt in the U.S. in the last 50 years. The kindness, helpfulness and honesty of the Vietnamese people still blows my mind today and still brings a tear to my eye. We are planning to move to Danang with our dog Lavender and our two cats, Selena and Raven, in the summer of 2025. Obviously, we still have a lot of questions about a lot of things and I'm hoping to find some answers or advice on this site.Â
Thanks,
Eric
Hi
Thanks for accepting me to the forum.
I'm Jonno a British guy, looking to move to Saigon in the next 18 months. I have a few questions I'd love the forums advice and guidance. My partner in the UK has dual Nationality British/Vietnamese. So, we already have a big Vietnamese family presence in Saigon.
Looking forward to your support and in return providing support to others, as I progress through my journey to move to Saigon permanently. Cheers, Jonno

If you are legally married to your "partner" the move and your residence here should be fairly painless.
If not, you will be limited to 3 month tourist visas and have to exit and reenter the country every 3 months, although as a British citizen you will have the option to stay visa-free for 45 days at a time, but you won't be able to combine the two. whichever you choose you will have to exit the country and then reenter.

Hello Tracy,
Welcome !
Can you please create an advert in the Vietnam classified as advertising is not allowed on the forum.
Thank you
Bhavna
Hi. Am a UK/US Íæż½ã½ã, retired US military Veteran, and am in Vietnam with my Viet born wife who escaped here in 1981, and moved to CA, US. We have been back before, the last being 15 years ago, but now we are exploring multiple options of if this is the right place to homestead for awhile, or to keep exploring S.E Asia.
We are both retired, in our 60's, and are enjoying Scootering around Da Nang for now, but heading to Nha Trang later this month for an extended stay. Have got the lay of the city here in Da Nang, and how to get around easy enough, discovering many restaurants, bars, pocket neighborhoods, and kind of like the weather and vibe here.
If you are in Nha Trang, and want to swap stories, antidote, or simply chill with a beer/cocktail, let me know and we can meet up there.
Take care
Gary and Lan
Hi Gary,
I am Cynthia, born in America, new expat, considering a move to Vietnam. I am an semi-retired preschool teacher, one adult daughter and teen granddaughter. I've researched Da Nang, Nice, France(as well as other parts of South of France)Alecante, Spain, Nairobi, Kenya, and Lisbon, Portugal, for relocation. I am no longer interested in staying in America because it's no longer a safe place.
Thanks for the offer, but I don't drink, smoke, nor into clubs and party life. Wish you and your wife the best in your travels and relocation.
Peace,
Cynthia
@Bhavna But Dear, I'm still wondering how you distiguish between "introduction" and "advertising"? Is there a clear rule for this? I'm talking about myself and offer help to expats. Isn’t it good to tell them my expertise for a true connection? Or all I can talk about here is only playing and enjoyment? Thank you very much! Tracy - @tracynonstop2301
Hello tracynonstop2301 (Tracy).
Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum, and thank you for your introduction in post #7. Always nice to have new members who are local citizens join us!
I think you may have misunderstood Bhavna's post to you in post #8.
Bhavna's post was an invitation to you to expand on your introduction post by creating an ad in our "Vietnam classified ads" section. In the classified section your contact details, availability, location (ward/district/city) and any other information you feel relevant would then be available for viewing by our members. Those details are not permitted in any of our open forum threads. Had your initial intro post been viewed as an advertisement of your services, it would have been edited or deleted (which it was not). Bhavna's suggestion to you to place an ad in the classifieds section was a helpful tip to increase the visibility of your services.
Feel free to jump in and contribute to any of our ongoing threads, or open a new topic of your own for discussion on the Vietnam forum's main page, here. We very much appreciate the input of locals on any of the various subjects under discussion there.
Once again, welcome to the forum. Very nice to have you with us, and hope to hear more from you soon.

One informs members about your activities and is commonly mention once or twice over months or years, the other offers services.
Howdy mates,
I’m Islam, Egyptian living in Oman 😠visited Vietnam 2019 and loved it, now having quite big family and will let them visit this paradise next July and willing to get in touch with families to hangout together as families. And if at all you have advises and ready itineraries for a 3 weeks trip that would be great.

Hi, Alison, from Brazil.
I'll be living indefinitely in Da Nang from April 1st 2025.
Just wanted to meet new people.
If anyone knows of a WhatsApp group for playing sports.
Also a gym that is not traditional (weights etc.). One with classes for example.
Thank you!!

I hope this message finds you well.
I would like to post a monthly rental listing on your platform targeting expats who are currently living or planning to stay in Vietnam. Could you kindly guide me through the process of creating a rental listing? I would appreciate any information regarding account creation, listing requirements, and whether there are any fees involved.
Looking forward to your support.
