Sounds like a great plan for a 3 month tourist visa, especially since you can also use your 45 day visa exemption for Norwegian passport holders when necessary.

Is it possible for you to fly direct onto Phu Quoc Island?

You would get 30 days visa free.

Then, do a visa run at Hà Tiên on the southern coast and work your way up through the Mekong Delta to HCMC & Vũng Tàu (if you can afford a private car, that's the way to do it, without a motorcycle license).

Do a side trip to Da Lat from HCMC and then catch the train in HCMC and head north.

That's just one suggestion that will allow you to start your trip at the deep south before moving north on the train.

I'm sure you're going to get dozens of other suggestions.

Good luck!

Please note that : in VN there is no Retirement visa to stay and live.

Marrying one of the many single moms seems to be a popular option. I believe that it allows for a 5-year Temporary Residence Card (TRC).

Stay tuned for more details from those who are experienced.

1st time a 3 year TRC in most provinces.

After that a 5 year TRC is possible.

@OceanBeach92107 bahaha. I am a senior married female with a boys name. And I'm not really into him taking another wife🤣

I lived for two years in HCMC, leaving every 90 days, sometimes for just a day or two.

Not difficult. Certainly not like the Europe and Schengen.
