Work Permit for volunteers

skyaslimit

As far as I am aware every one involved in volunteer work in Thailand must obtain a work permit , there must be a juristic entity where you volunteer for : a registered charity or a government organization, for at least 4 hours a week. the documentation required is same as a regular work permit for a paid job.
Any thoughts?

I wrote an article on this subject a while back. A case of buyer beware since many organisations offering volunteering posts require the volunteer to pay for the privledge.  Sadly a big percentage of these con merchants omit to mention visa and work permit requirements.

Search "volunteering Thailand" and read the small print and you will see what I mean.
