What’s your query here? If MoM is asking additional documents then your employer should provide the details and rationale to hire you. Good luck

hi Surya ,

got an EP application by a 3rd party manpower agency to be supplied for an MNC petrochemical company. 3 weeks after, MOM requested for additional information of the project assignment I will be working with. Is this. A good sign?

There is additional scrutiny from MOM on pass applications, which is justified to ensure righteous candidates are picking the relevant jobs- also this presents a fair opportunity to a lot of locals who are unemployed.

Having said that, additional information requests are normal now on majority of the pass applications. These could be queries on the employer’s Organization, or the prospective applicant (you). Good news or not, that’s hard to say, it just means your application was reviewed and the officer needs additional information to make an approval decision. If it meets the criteria for the relevant pass, plus your employer has done all the necessary due diligence in terms of posting the job on the SG Govt jobs bank, have given the local talent pool a fair chance, have selected you based on your skills and experience, it should be ok.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. mom asking for details on company side such as specific project with the application still on pending status after 3 weeks. Is that leaning towards a positive side?

Additional queries are to clarify any potential doubts on the application. If it pertains to your specific job scope, let the company address it to the best of their ability. I am sure the righteous decision would be made by MoM if things are in order.

I can’t state positive or negative from an outcome perspective, sorry. But this sure is a good thing that it’s not an outright rejection.

Wish you good luck and hope you get the approval.
