PR APPLICATION UNDER NEW SYSTEM-AFTER 25.06.2024

AADVIK

Hi,

would like to get view of the people who applied PR under new system after 25.06.2024. I have recently on 03.09.2024. My profile as below.

Me working in Singapore since 2009(15 years)- salary 120k p.a

My wife running her own small venture- on EP salary is around 100k per year: staying in Singapore since 2015( around 9 year)

We have have two sons 7 year old and 7 months old. I have applied PR multiple time but got rejected. Last application Rejected 7 month back. at that application my 2nd son was not born. Do we have any chance for getting PR.

Also I have noticed under new system, its showing stages of application as below. does it get updated with the time. I have just applied so it is as initial stage. if anyone applied before 2-3 months  they see the progress here.

I applied on 28 Oct 2024 and I just received the in-principle approval today.

Background:

Female, 30yo, single, EP holder

First came to SG in 2020 and worked as engineer in semicon MNC company.

Left SG in 2023 and returned to SG on March 2024.

Currently working as field engineer in US company.

Applied for PR after 7 months returning to SG.

40% of the time I’m overseas.

90k salary, race: Chinese

The process was quite fast, didn’t expect to get the result in 4 months.

I guess it’s true that the new system is much faster.

Hi, I applied for PR as a family (me + my wife + son) in July 2024. People say new system is fast, but mine is still pending for a year now. 🙁 I have applied before in 2020 (my son was not born yet) and it was rejected after 8 months.

All are Myanmar and race is Burmese and religion is Buddhist.

I'm holding EP. My wife and my son are on DP. My son was born here and now going for N1.

Both me and my wife have been in Sg since 2010. We both went for poly. Then, I went NUS full time for degree and my wife went for private part time uni for degree and MBA.

I'm earning about 130K a year and my job is in IT.

I have never done blood donation and I do volunteer work sometimes with NTUC.

My brother (only sibling) is already a Singapore citizen before I applied PR in 2024. (I don't know if it helps.)

I have recently updated my salary details in PR application because I got an increment.

Please advice if I should reach out to ICA to ask about my application and to check if they require any additional documents from my side. What are the chances of getting approved for this case? because some people say no news is good news.

@AADVIK

Unlike work passes, the PR system isn’t transparent. There are several factors ascertained by ICA before they make a decision. One major consideration is your nationality as there are nationality quotas each year to maintain a healthy composition in the population of Singapore.

Food for thought, you and your wife earning is great for your family, how does it contribute to Singapore‘s economy and development? How are you different from anyone else paying taxes on income? Might be worth emphasising on those merits :)
