Sad to hear that, do you know the reason? Try addressing the reason behind the rejection and solidify your cover letter. You can appeal as a next step.

Yes, absolutely. The submitter (employer or agency), can view the status. Just my 25 cents, and I write this from my experience, there is just additional scrutiny and information request from MoM, so don鈥檛 loose hope or get frustrated. Good things come in time, try getting the rejection reason (if it isn鈥檛 stated, the submitter can still ask MoM), address it with the submitters help.

It took me 3+ months to get my EP approved, several rejections and info requests, which were addressed by means of an appeal. All this after having been in SG, holding an EP and prior successful renewals.

Cheer up, work towards an approval with your employers help. Good luck.

Sorry to hear. Hopefully you employer can shed some light on the reasons and next steps.

Timeline is as follows:

15th Mar - EP submitted
7th Apr - MOM requested additional documents (Degree verification and latest tax assessment)
19th Apr - Requested documents submitted
3rd May - Agency called MOM and request to expedite
14th May - Agency called MOM again and request to expedite

My EP was applied 10 March and the status is still pending up to now. Anyone encountered this long before?

It鈥檚 roughly 11 plus weeks, that鈥檚 not coinciding with the ongoing approval timelines. I鈥檇 urge you to follow up with MoM through the submitter (employer/ agency).

Yeah I checked with my employer and they told me that MoM didn't request any information from them too. I called MoM but they told me to check through employer only.

I am worried why EP renewal is taking so long.

I applied in Feb 2021, after one month I got rejection saying degree verification .
I get the verification done through agency and did appeal on 30th April.聽
It is still pending after almost 1 month.

Can anybody help me to know is it the new normal now ?

Several threads here on the same topic, from time taken on employment pass, s-pass to average time for appeals. You may want to browse and read through some.

Anyhow, 8 weeks odd is the current time frame for getting a pass approved- some have got approval in 3-7 days too, but rare enough. Appeals don鈥檛 take beyond 2-3 weeks usually. You may want to follow up with MoM through the submitter only. A call won鈥檛 hurt to request expedition or an update.

MoM acknowledges the request, responds- looks like this was some email sorts sent to some generic email address. Please urge the agency to call and check on the status/ delay.

I got a lot of help from this forum and would like to contribute by sharing my ep application process experience. I just got the approval.


Application date: 4th May
Request for additional supporting document: 18th May
Approval: 3rd June.

Took me about 1 month. It's a job at mnc for marketing role. Hope everyone doesn't lose hope!

I was not active on the forum, but this feed helped me a lot so here is my experience!

Application date : 26/04/2021
pending...
No documents verification asked...
HR consultant call MOM "to expedite the process": 07/06/2021
EP Approved : 08/06/2021!

It took me 6weeks + and I don't know if it is because the HR consultant called the MOM but it was approved the next day.

Job in research/biotech, 5 years experience including 3 years in Singapore in the same company, always had S pass before.

I really think it is a waiting game and I still was quite stressed to wait but the company sait that 6-8 weeks are the new delays due to covid.

6-8 weeks is bearable to me now. Congratulations to all who got approval. Mine was submttted 26 March 2021 and its been more than 8 weeks but my company said it will take up to 3 months, what I can do now is to wait. My HR consultant has nudge a few times but still they are expecting should come within 3 months. Finger crossed!

I got the same reply from MoM and my employer. My employer submitted EP application on 22 Feb and it is still pending.

3 months !!! That's insane
Mine appeal was submitted 5 week backs still no result and the first reason of rejection was salary jump was too high from last salary .
Even though my sat is coming on same salary.

Any one here got approval on this case and got result with successful appeal

Going through your old post is this correct that you had two rejection with two successful appeal. Can you recall the time period between appeal 1> rejection 2 and appeal 2 > Approval

Kaushikpal: Yes, two rejections, 1st appeal rejected, 2nd appeal approval. Roughly 6/8 weeks in total.

I get聽 ipa 3 munth but can't聽 get聽 aunty approval from聽 Bangladesh worker聽 whyn came out聽 form聽 my country

If mom never聽 give聽 aunty approval聽 than way聽 he make聽 tha ipa

Approved on 17th June

Any particular reason like document request, verification request etc
