airforvet

hello

I’m looking at high-rise apartments in the Philippines, Manila. There was a town called Mikalti which I am looking into. Please excuse the spelling if I’m incorrect

Hi,

There are many high rise condos for sale now. The correct spelling is Makati. Not a bad place but not the best. I prefer the region with the Mall of Asia. There are also high rise buildings and there is walkway with many restaurants.

Each to their own. I found the Mall of Asia like something out of a sci-fi movie. Bleak, depressing and a monument to bad taste. Manila, unlike Jakarta does not do a great job with Mall design & ambience.

For many years after the Mandarin Oriental on Makati Avenue closed its doors for the final time (yes that was a sad day) I rented a condo at the Joya Lofts & Towers in Rockwell Makati. Opposite you have the Powerplant Mall which, as malls go, is quite pleasant. Their are other condos in the vicinity. Nice wide pedestrian walkways and very safe and secure.

You do not make it clear as to whether you wish to rent or buy. My advice is never to invest a penny/cent in the Philippines unless you are prepared to lose it.
