I love Indian food but having serious problems finding good stuff.
Best I've found so far is a place in Teras Kota, BSD but there must be more.
I understand there are some near Tangerang but can't find them as yet.

Good start but I'm almost exclusively carnivorous.
Baaa, mooo or woof and I'll cook and eat it.

The best I found till the date is
1. Ganesha Ek Sanskriti resto. It is authentic north indian food. They have 2 branches, one in BRI-II on sudirman street, another in Kemang area.

For others pls see the link below

Actually I really don't know what the different between South Indian, North Indian, Pakistani food

I went to:
Hazara (I read they serve Northern India) in Imam Bonjol area, the restaurant is same building with La Na Thai (1st floor) and Hazara 2nd floor

Kinara in Jalan Kemang Raya

Those places have romantic and classy Indian Restaurant

And Ganesha Ek Sanskriti more simply and also nice, they have 1 billiard table tooo, the place is in BRI II Building Jalan Sudirman 9th floor I guess or 10th, usually park my car at 9th floor and also they have in Kemang Square Jalan Kemang Raya (never been there, can't explain for the restaurant)

Or you can go to Indian Cuisine in Manhattan Hotel 6th floor Jalan Prof.Dr.Satrio or famous road name with Casablanca
I heard this place nice, and really good food, never been here just heard from Indian friend

Hey someoneilike, thx for your detailed reply.

I picked up the below from yahoo that gives in-depth information about north & south indian cusines.. hope it helps.. thx again to  you..

A typical North Indian meal would consist of chappatis, parantha or pooris (unleavened flat breads), pilafs, dals, curries that are mild and made in ghee, thick, creamy dals, vegetables seasoned with yogurt or pomegranate powder, lots of greens like spinach and mustard greens cooked with paneer, north Indian pickles, fresh tomato, mint, cilantro chutneys and yogurt raitas. Hot, sweet cardamom milk is very common before going to bed. North Indian desserts and sweets are made of milk, paneer, lentil flour and wheat flour combined with dried nuts and garnished with a thin sheet of pure silver. Nimbu Pani (lemon drink), Lassi (iced buttermilk) are popular drinks of the North.

Tandoori cooking is a north Indian specialty and famous the world over. Tandoori chicken, naan, tandoori roti, tandoori kebabs are a hit in most Indian restaurants.

South Indian cuisine is rice based. Rice is combined with lentils to make wonderful dosas, idlis, vadas and uttapams. These items are glorious and delicious besides being nourishing and digestible (due to the fermenting process). They are combined with sambhar (dal), rasam (tamarind dal), dry and curried vegetable and pachadi (yogurt). Their rice preparations are also masterpieces like biryani from Hyderabad, lemon rice and rice seasoned with coconut peanuts, tamarind, chilies, curry leaves, urad dal and fenugreek seeds.

South Indian chutneys are made of tamarind, coconut, peanuts, dal, fenugreek seeds, and cilantro. Meals are followed by coffee. South Indian dals and curries are more soupy than North Indian dals and curries. South Indian cuisine is also hotter.

Coconut milk straight from the nut is a common beverage and sight in South India. Coffee is very popular in South India and Madras coffee is popular in many South Indian restaurants throughout the world.

The South Indian food is a brilliant blend of flavors, colors, seasoning, nutritional balance, fragrance, taste, and visual appeal.

The best north Indian/Pakistani food is being served at Kinara Restaurant and Front Page (Imam Bonjol). Hazara is average. It's a pity that no restaurant offers Nehari-paaya-haleem in this city. I have been looking for a genuine Pakistani restaurant for the last seven weeks....no luck so far.
