Hi, I am a local in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. I am a muslim 33 years old. I have been living in Surabaya for 5 years, and looking to travel abroad some time next year to pursue a post graduate degree. Let me know if you need help in Indonesia, and in return I am looking for help as well, might be in Europe or Australia :)

Bonita Daniel

Hello everyone. New member here. My name is Daniel and it sure is nice to be here!

Fred

Hi and welcome Daniel. What brings you to Indonesia?

Bonita Daniel

@Fred

Hello Fred. First it was work, then the beauty of Indonesia. Now, my wife. Haha

muellerjames99

Hello, my name is James. I'm currently a mechanical engineering student working in automotive manufacturing in the USA, but I am looking to transition to entrepreneurship in the next year or two. My soon-to-be wife is Indonesian and works in Bali, so I'm trying to find a way to start working in Indonesia so we can start our life together.

Fred

Highly skilled people have far fewer problems than those without.

Take a look at local manufacturers and see what shakes.

sitbrothers

Hello,

I introduced myself a few days ago as  Sita Brothers, naturalized American, the same day my account got

activated. But since that time, I got notices that I have to contact the CM Team, only I do not know how to contact them. Right now I am doing something I really hate to do, that is finishing my income tax return., though maybe it won't do any good with all the hoopla over there.

Please let me know what I am to do to contact the CM Team. Thanks

Hi,

Dave here, I am from UK my wife is from East Java.

We live in Malaysia but will end up in Indonesia.

Not sure where yet probably near to Malang or Yogyakarta,

Probably look for somewhere within 1 hour of the city but in the countryside.

We want to be able to look out to rice paddies and grow some things on a balcony like watermelons, cucumbers, tomatoes, long beans etc.

My wife is from between Kediri and Blitar (roughly).

Her village is mostly agricultural and fishing although there is some tourism from those two cities.

I love her village but it is not really convenient for access to healthcare or public transport.

Whilst we would drive in Indonesia I want the option of being able to jump on a train and also with the way traffic can be in Indonesia I don't want to be more than an hour away from a city so that have good access to healthcare.

But from Malang or Yogyakarta we can jump on a train a few hours to a small city where my wife's cousin lives, which her family sometimes go to for shopping anyway so works out a good all round solution.

Bit of a long introduction lol

Hi everyone. Since the english forum is way more active than the french one, I move there !

I'm a french back-end developer (and devops) with an Indonesian girlfriend who considers moving to either a major Indo city or Singapore to boost his career. Nice to meet you !

Hi Pierre,

Which part of France and Indonesia?

My wife is from Trenggalek in East Java, I am from Dorset in UK.

We live in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and we previously lived in Singapore.

We will retire in Yogyakarta or Malang most likely (although we were also thinking about Turkey or even mediterranean).

pierrevermeil

@daviddomoney

South of France, Jakarta. What was your job when you were working in Singapore ? And what made you want to go back in Java ? Cheers

daviddomoney

Ah okay been France but not the South heard is nice there. I was working in finance still am in Malaysia.

Not in Java but will retire there, I love Indonesia it is a great country. But for my work is easier in Singapore, Malaysia. Singapore is expensive though so need good salary.

Back end developer is like java/python developer etc?

Cheers
