LPG tank adapter to U.S. gas BBQ Grill

rbrothers

I'm using LPG in my house in Malingping (Pantai Talanca) for cooking. This month I should be getting my household good from the U.S.A. delivered here. Among all the "stuff" is a KitchenAid LPG grill. It uses the U.S. POL type of gas connection (screws on), while all the LPG tanks here us the SNI1591 Indonesian standard "clamp" type fitting.

Does anyone know if someone sells an adapter to connect an Indonesian tank to the POL U.S. fitting? (The grill has its own regulator installed).

Thanks

Bob

For future readers - Don't ship stuff because it tends to cause headaches.

That and you have to watch out for import taxes.

For this thread.  A quick search of online shops didn't throw up any adaptors (You should try as I only gave it a minute)

I have no idea what would happen if you had 2 regulators, but you could chop off the US fitting and try.

If not, Ace hardware and others sell gas grills.

Thanks Fred, I'll probably just use the same regulator and replace the POL fitting with a "push on" fitting like is on the Rinai cooktop I have here. That way I can get a pipe with the correct SNI1591 fitting and make it work.
