I searched the forum and while I found some ATM info, most of it was over 3 years old and I am looking for some current information please. I have a few questions... 1.) What are the Best ATMs to use assuming you don't have a Card that offers ...

Most ATM's charge about 175 to 200 pesos per withdrawal. In Las Terrenas I found the most expensive one so far is Scotia Bank, but they are all different. Your withdrawal limit is as per your bank or credit card. Hope this helps. Read More

Here we go again? Hurricane Maria... by brodies2013
Is the possibility of a track from the south better or worse for north coast....I would think mountain ranges would soften the blow a bit... anyone concerned? I imagine Punta Cana might suffer more with that trajectory...

Was worse than Irma. Read More

Hurricane Maria by Bones123
How is everyone? Can't find any definitive information on how the hurricane is impacting our future home???

I don't know for sure if we had hurricane force winds here in Las Terrenas, but it looked and felt like we did. Lot of damage, the storm surge cost us a lot of beach and trees along with it, plus some large portions of road washed away. Read More

Las terrenas has survived, Just. I am thankful that we didn't get devastated like some of the other islands, but it is a mess. Wind and rain just easing off now. Too loud to sleep last night, and stayed awake worrying the night before :( Read More
