Hi, I have a work opportunity close to Santa Marta for one year.

Want some info from expats living in Santa Marta.

1. How safe is it? hear a lot of rumours about kidnappings and crime.

2. What is the cost of renting an apartment in Santa Marta, and what is the availability?

Hi !

I live in Santa marta since late august and I have no problem. There are robbers but I don't hear of kidnapping or crime. You only need to be prudent and don't go to some places out of the city.

You can find a 3 bedrooms flat for approximately 800 $ all services included. It depends on what you are looking for...
