VIPER Permanent Residency and taxes in Brasil

bbejuju

Hello all,

So I live in BH with my wife and our child (Both of them are dual citizens).  My question is this: if I obtain my VIPER permanent residency, but I work for an US company (and my pay goes into my US bank account), do I need to pay taxes on this income in Brazil? (I work from home, so the work would be "performed" in Brazil)

If someone could provide an answer to this, that would be awesome, because I'm rather reluctant to get a permanent visa if I have to pay taxes in both the US and Brazil :(

Thanks!

Yes, there will be like a double taxation if you have a permanent visa. Both countries
don´t have a tax agreement and they tax income worldwide...

Robal,

Thanks. That's what I assumed and I was unable to find anything about any tax treaties.  Well... that sucks.
