How to Apply for CPF

Pablo888

The process to apply for via e-consular () is very straight forward.

I have submitted everything and the next step is to get an email before I can book an appointment to the consulate.

My challenge is that the CPF application has the following instruction:

"Entregue este formulário eadocumentação em uma representação diplomática brasileira em até 15 dias"

Does this instruction apply to the submission via web or the visit at the consulate?

I am currently on day 14 and that's why I am worried....

Yes I just got my CPF.....(through Orlando)  the whats ap they responded to any question I had.   )

I asked that as well as my paperwork was done and notarized in late December....BUT then did not go for my appointment until Feb 20  (because of some other paperwork issues and also registering my marriage there as well)....I brought that to their attention (the 15 days) but tyey said it was ok.,.....

@easygoer1050

Thank you for letting me know about the 15 day thing.

Just a quick update on this rather simple process....

I finally got an email from the e-consular - on the 16th day after submission and I was invited to make an appointment at the consulate.

I immediately went online (within 10 mins of the email origination time) and the first and only available slot is 1 business day before I am due to leave for Brazil.

Interesting that I was asked to select an appointment slot - and there was only 1 choice.  I took it.

Good thing that I got an appointment but if I had another pre-planned event on that day, I can see this might require major re-scheduling.

Is this a typical experience?
