Speaking English in Fiji

Hi everyone,

It is widely agreed that speaking English is essential for a successful integration in Fiji. Do you agree? Share your experience!

Do you speak English? If so, where did you learn this language? Where can one attend a language course in Fiji?

If not, how do you cope with daily activities? Is it easy to communicate in a different language with Fijians?

Hello,

We have resided in Fiji for 4 1/2 years.聽 I do think it is essential to speak English.
That is the language taught in school to fijians.
Also, if you are with 2 or 3 fijians, it is important to ask them to speak in English
when around you.
