Opening a bank account in Suva

Hi there, Bula I'm going to be relocating to live on Koro Island soon! its exciting!
Anyone know best bank to open an account with there on Suva? Internet banking, and can I open one online? from the UK?

Westpac and ANZ are both large, reputable banks.聽 I would choose the one that also has at least an ATM presence on Koro Island.聽

I'm a little shocked that anyone would be seriously planning to move to Koro island without knowing more about Fiji.聽 I highly recommend visiting for a month or two before deciding to move.聽聽

Koro is pretty isolated.聽 You certainly won't be receiving many overseas visitors on Koro聽 due to the infrequent transportation, especially in the rainy season.聽 Many people who first think they want the isolation later move onto Viti Levu or Vanua Levu for the convenience of shopping and medical care.聽

Also, beware of internet property listings.聽 They are often at inflated prices.聽聽Better deals are usually available聽 on the ground here.
