If your power tools can have a new plug outfitted - and they won't blow out, you'll be right (as they say here).  Otherwise you'll have to bring along a converter - make sure you get a heavy duty one in the US before coming here.

Hi Mate

I am a Cabinet Maker and Came over from the UK , I use all my 240V tools here as it's basically the same power here , I did not even bother to change my plugs I just bought a UK plug bar with me and put a Aussie plug on the end, as aussie plugs are a Bit weak and dodgy compared to UK plugs (which are also Fused).
As far as 110V I agree with "off2oz" you will need a Converter - you can Buy them here in places like Jaycar (electrical bits sellers) or buy online but probably easier to find one in the US and Cheaper as less people from the US come here compared to the rest of the world that uses 220V/240V.
Hope that helps
