Looking to emigrate to Canada...but where to go!!

19RICH72

Hi All,

My name is Rich. I currently live in Lincolnshire, UK but have always wanted to look to move to Canada...but where?

I am planning to come out early summer 2017 & look at a few places...hence some advice/experience would REALLY help!

I think I've narrowed the areas down to Ontario, Alberta & British Columbia.

I am self employed (for 20 years) in property maintenance (Plumbing, Electrical, Handy-Man & various cleaning services). I intend to either work for a company that would welcome any of these skills or alternatively, pioneer my own business again.

Please would anyone let me know what it's like to live where they are, (amenities, social life, climate, housing costs, etc) and how realistic getting work is. The main city areas I'm considering are:- Toronto, Hamilton, London; Edmonton & Calgary; Vancouver, Surrey and Nanaimo.

Any feedback would be a huge help...

Cheers,

Rich.
