50000 AED Offer in Abu Dhabi

soyuz

Hey howzit?
I got an offer from a petro-chemical company for 50,000 AED all inclusive to work in Abu Dhabi. Is that a good pay? I am planning to move with my 2 young children and wife. Is the salary taxable there? whats the tax rate?
What is the cost of a good 2 br house, cost of running car, utilities and school fees for primary school?
I have the contract with me and i do not want to make a mistake by accepting, currently i make equivalent of $5.5k USD after tax here in Namibia per month with a bad medical scheme.

Thank you

I have been to Abu Dhabi in my past & many of my friends are working there, if this per month salary then it is good BUT if it is per month salary then it is most worst offer for you ... Accommodation will be costly but if your salary is on monthly basis then you would not have any problem ... but you need to pay full / half money in advance while you make a contract for house rent ... rest of all it's fine ... but some restriction would be there as it is being a muslim country ... hope this makes you clear ... cheers

Thanks gaurang, this is salary per month. Do you have indicative monthly cost of stuff like utilities, fee in a good school etc? Thanks

hdebeky

well let me brief you costs in Abu Dhabi

annual accom around 80k to 120k ( normal accom.)
utilities per year ( water , electricity , gas , telephone ) 12k
car cost per year  ( all inclusive portage 2013) 18k
monthly food cost per family 4 persons around 5k
schools for primary grade British education 25k per year may be more

anyway 50k is very good to live in normal apartment but mot villa

Thanks hdebeky for the response. The 50K is per month so i think it will be good enough.
