Best business to start in Dubai post Covid19

Dxbpal4u

Hi Everyone,

I know most of the business is impacted in UAE like all over the world, the economy has taken a hit all over the world.

But I feel this is the best time to invest and start your own business.

I have been in UAE for many years now, I think for new entrepreneurs who always wanted to start their own business, this is the best time to do it, I think this is an opportunity for many as the rents have gone down drastically and many changes in visa rules will be coming for sure to encourage investment.

I wanted your suggestion which business do you think will be the best to start in this post COVID era particularly  Dubai

You are only looking at one side of the equation i.e. lower rents and government incentives.  What you are completely missing is the massive impact on the economy i.e. reduced consumption due to job losses, oil prices curtailing government spending, less tourism etc etc.   This is going to impact every business in a big big way i.e. less revenue/less customers.  Why do you think the rents are low and the government is trying to help?  basic supply and demand economics.

The only businesses that are staying afloat are online e-commerce platforms for goods and / or services.

Hello,

I would like to get your attention to several things before you get involved in some business activities in Dubai.

Like any other economy, Dubai also having great impact on its economy due to the Covid 19 Coronavirus issues such as the complete lockdown. The people are running out of their usual purchasing power as many of them lost their jobs or got salaries reduced by companies.

If the people are not having money to spend on products and services, then your view of low rent on properties will not be as effective as you may think.

There is a good news though, as the businesses are starting to operate gradually in Dubai and being an experienced person here in UAE, I suggest you to wait a bit more to look how the economy evolves in the coming weeks.

I have seen only a few businesses are making it good through these days and one among them is surely the Groceries and super markets. People can't live without foob and stationary items and hence the situation didn't impact much on these kind of businesses, so you can try it out if you are eager to get your business started quickly.

I'm working in a Tadbeer domestic workers visa service providing company in Dubai ***

Yea he is talking about establishing a business now, to capitalise on the breakaway from the pandemic and its economic implications. The answer is obvious. Its the wealthy, cash rich who will buy up and take advantage of the economic opportunities. Companies that are failing, including their machnery/ stocks/ assets etc, will be sold cheap. The cash rich organisations will exploit this. So start a service/ business which is targeted at that high end. I am arranging the launch of an alternative Investment brokerage. Its a transfr of wealth, so get on the right side of that transfer. And think BIG. This is Dubai afterall. Plenty of liquidity around. And plenty of investors still looking for those opportunities which exploit the situation. I am assuming the OP didnt intend to seek out information surrounding basic business models- such as groceries etc. Correct me if I am wrong. And reach out if you have serious money to be invested as an 'armchair' opportunity within a seriously lucrative business model.

O'man since there is risk all around 100s time more than before you are promoting your cut business
to make your self rich on others money. You know your business has harsh discclaimer and you are out of risk but gets your brokerage any way and so safe you are.

In current situation guide right and not in your benefit only by promoting your own.
You will get your penny safe and poor greedy innocent will loose his dollar.
You have mind but please don't mind if I said rough.

Yep as akhter07 said.   The risk profile has escalated tremendously as well.

I am a HNW individual and have plenty of liquidity.  And if you read the investing sticky which I posted  on the Bahrain forums, I am generating consistent high double digit returns from my investments (which is a very good return for the amount of risk I am taking - risk / return concept).   The thing is, when you are a HNW or UHNW individual, you generally tend to be very savvy about investments (as it does take some form of brains to make money to that extent) and are not likely to trust posts like the one above which promise "extremely lucrative" returns from an "armchair" business model.   Hence, most in this category know better and when you have serious cash to invest, you are looking for safe havens, and reputable blue chip (and big) names, not anonymous start ups without any track record which are soliciting business on web forums.   Honestly, I am not being personal - just giving feedback from the perspective of your potential clientele of HNW/UHNW individuals.   You just need to change your pitch, branding and other elements if you want this particular client base.

Lastly, the OP was not clear on what he was looking for.  But going by previous posts on this forum, it was assumed to be basic business models.
