no chance...they will never be as high as they are in the u.s.....i wish cars werent so necesary though! itd be nice if we all had another way...too much hassle with cars ya know...

but from the looks of your photo you drive a hummer or a big toyota landcruiser so petrol gets a little expensive there huh!!

i feel after they changed it from Gallon to litres by end of 2010 if u compare gallon in 2010 versus gallon in 2009 - its a 100% hike almost

I've heard it will keep increasing until it hits 10 AED per litre!!
For some reason its costy to own a 4x4  vehicle taking into consideration  the car loan if any, crossing salike gates four times a day  like me :( , monthly maintenance..etc!!

If your contract is a genuine expat contract, you should have your fuel or transportation costs reimbursed by your company! So even if the price hikes it shouldn't be a problem... lol
