Here's a little more info about the project:

I've been working as a photographer and event organizer for the NYC-based Hip Hop organization End of the Weak since 2007. I established a chapter in Uganda in 2009 as a way to uplift the Hip Hop community in the East African country. I moved to Turkey in 2010 to be closer to Africa and have been living in Ankara since 2013.

EOW is now established in 15 countries from Montreal to Germany, the Philippines to Brazil, and South Africa to London. Every year, many of the chapters gather in a different global city for a week of intercultural exchange, skills development workshops and live performances (2013 was in London, 2012 Paris, 2011 NYC...)

This year EOW Uganda is more than thrilled to be hosting guests from 9 countries! We will have interactive workshops involving dance, songwriting and production, and urban art to be exhibited on October 25th at the Festival.  The week of activities, October 20-27, will wrap up with an international Hip Hop culture festival, the first of it's kind in Uganda.

Although each chapter attending is providing the majority of funding for travel and survival, we need help with facilitating the costs of putting the festival together and assisting in production of a recorded collaboration among international and local artists. We have international NGO assistance and local sponsors, however the project cost is a little over $30,000 so every little bit helps!

Please let me know if you have any questions or want more information.

I thank you in advance for your support!!

Thanks Maximilien!

I've added some more info below.
The event is happening in Uganda, but I currently live in Ankara is why I'm reaching out to the community here :)

Cheers,
Amy
