French living in Turkey - Visa for China

Hello,

I work in Turkey. I have my working visa and residential permit.

Can I apply for a Chinese touristic visa at the Chinese Ambassy in Istanbul with my French passeport if I want to visit an Exhibition in May in Shanghai ?
Or do I need to apply at the Chinese ambassy in France ?

Does anyone know ?

you did ? i've been to the chinese ambassy somewhere around bebek istanbul. but it was closed.
i sent then my pass to germany to visa express. it has been done on time.
