Moving to Riyadh

Monstar

I have just been offered and accepted a job in Riyadh, this will be my first time out there. Has anyone got any tips or advice they can give me?

Also I am looking for a fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment/house/villa (as my wife and son will be coming out to visit me in the school holidays) has anyone got any contacts/addresses they could let me have.

Thanks,

Mick :-)

Hi Mick, welcome on ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ-blog! :)

I suggest you to view other discussions on the forum, you will find lot of informations about Riyadh. You may have a look at the Riyadh classifieds > accommodation section and post an advert there as well.

I wish you good luck.

Thanks for this, I will give it a try.

Monstar,

On housing, I recently saw an excellent article by one of our senior expat as folows
/en/guide/middle-e … ngdom.html

You can always goto /en/classifieds/mi … ation.html for accomodation classifieds in RIYAD. Most people benefitted from this classified and the easiest way would be to contact them directly and discuss the requirements and finalyze the Contracts with them

There is another blog with a list of the compounds in Riyadh along with contact information
/en/guide/middle-e … iyadh.html

Finally, you can get arround in this site for such discussions, articles and you definitely find enough information that can help you.

Happy hunting and welcome again on ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ-blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Thanks for the info.

My employers are putting me up in a hotel for the first month, so I think that I will look for accommodation when I arrive.

Thats nice to know and one month will give you ample time and options to check the accomodations available. There are variety of options available arround and u just need to be on that job, call, communicate and hopefully you will get the best available option.

Again happy hunting and Welcome to the KingDom and the Blog again........
