voltage in jeddah?

ishaq.omer

Hi

We might be moving to Jeddah from Singapore and have a got of home appliances using 220V.

I tried to search but got confusing results on google. Can someone please tell me whats the voltage used in Jeddah ? is it 220V or 110V? if its a dual system, are both the voltages always available in the apartments? or does it very from area to area

thanks a lot!

I'm quite positive it is 220V.  You'lll probably just need the plug adapters which can be easily purchased here for a couple bucks each!

many thanks!
many websites I have seen always list, 127/220
why do they list 2 voltages? do the apartments have dual voltage? or is it that some have 220 and others 127?

SaQiB

127 is regarded the same for 110 devices. Here there are both 110(127) and 220 plug sockets. Almost every place there are dual voltages, but i recommend going for 220 devices as you stay on the safe side.

most of the houses or villas or apartments here in jeddah the socket are both available 220 and 127(110). The thing is you'll be needing an adaptor because the sockets has 3 pin holes, But no worries adaptors are available in hardware.

dragonladyoz

My compound house only has 220V with a 3 pin plug..... but as everyone else has said adaptors are available.

You are off topic... :joking:

You can send a P.M. about what you understood from the sentence and we can deal with it...

wooosh "The Conqueror" Versus "The Legends", why don't you guys try the Olympics. :) the topic is about the voltage in jeddah not the AC versus the DC.
