yes i was thinking a tablet, but im not sure though.
whats the difference between a laptop, net-book and tablet?
and which place here in saudi do you think has good deals?
was thinking jarir or extra? what do you think?

If you need help, please send a message!
netbook is a poor performing (will even struggle with some facebook games and heat up) version of a laptop
tablet is good, if you dont play facebook games, or watch alot shows online (however apps have support, but if you stream shows, wont work)
and is very subjective on which is best just like laptops. tablets are not near as advanced as a computer at the same price so are better suited as a second device to compliment a laptop, not replace one (YET)
ok, i dont stream shows or play games.
basically need it for microsoft office stuff, skype,fb, eb(ofcourse)haha and watching movies on. thats why i dont need anything too expensive or advanced. but something thats not gonna break after a year.

As long as you don't do graphics design or what @FLS said above, a netbook must be fine. It's just the mini version of a laptop. The price range is 800-1400 SAR.
Tablets are fun, Price Range: 1500-3500 SAR. Can't recommend coz you said you use MSOffice. You'll have hard time working without a physical keyboard & mouse.
maybe a netbook and a tab :)what do you think?

Both? Yeah, they'll fit in the budget you had mentioned.
yay! do you think jarir is good?

Yes, Jarir or eXtra. Though from local (computer) market, you may get a difference ~100 SAR.
If I were you, I'd go for the tablet first (Apple iPad2or3 or Samsung Galaxy). Try the form factor and use it for a few minutes. May be you won't need netbook at all
A laptop is steadier and better any day.
Oh I've to buy one too. My office lappy won't let me install any games or apps. :-(

Question for you Dave: Why did you put an Al-Marai milk bottle on your display pic some time back? While you work for Baskin-Robbins.
Not stalking....FB suggested me to add you to my list and I had to check out your profile....

Stalk me, talk me, but you can never hate me !
That al marai bottle of milk was my breakfast :-) and if I had to promote my company by posting pictures on the net, I would need more than just 31 pics for all the flavors..

1 Liter milk in one shot?

not stalking, sure it isn't i love that emoticon.
A WORD ABOUT JARIR: this place is a pet peeve of mine (yes, I know--I seem to have a lot of pet peeves lol) but let me tell you why. They print their return policy on the RECEIPT. In other words, you don't know the return policy until it is TOO LATE!
I bought a piece of electronics, nothing too expensive, never opened it but realized after the fact I didn't need it. I took it back and they pointed out to me that on the receipt it says you CANNOT return any electric items (this is not posted any place else in the store).Â
So, after speaking to the manager and pretty much refusing to go away until something was done for me, I got themto issue me a store credit.
MORAL: if you're buying from Jarir, inquire about the return policy before purchase!

TLL learned how to stalk from saimans
Oh, now I know what keeps you all busy during your Office free time

Alliecat wrote:TLL learned how to stalk from saimans
As I remember, @wilson started this trend.
1- @wilson stalked on @saimans during his US trip.
2- @TLL (me) stalked on you during your Dubai trip
3- @saimans stalked on you during your 'mission NGO' in New Delhi.
So @wilson is the main culprit, *he* brought the germs in

Sequence is a bit wrong TLL !!, heres the correct one
1- @TLL (me) stalked on you(cat) during your Dubai trip.
2- @wilson stalked on @saimans during his US trip.
3- @saimans stalked on you during your 'mission NGO' in New Delhi.
BTW, no one is the culprit here, you should know what your well wishers are upto....
