Resignation : They are asking me to pay

Hello members. I am new to this forum, looking to get some advise.

I have recently joined a company in September, still in my probation period . I have resigned due to my personal circumstances. HR has sent an email to pay

Remedy of breach of contract,short notice fee and all hiring cost.

I don't understand why they asking g me to pay remedy of breach of contract when i am still in probation period.

There is no clause mentioned about notice period during probation period.

Can someone advise me I am in tremendous stress with all of this.

Hello , you should have checked your contract on Qiwa / written contract before handing in your resignation. Usually the probation period termination right is given to the employer only , and not to the employee. They are asking you to pay to recuperate their costs of hiring and bringing you here , which is a very common practice here.

The clause is very confusing when I looked it in my contract, I am worried whether they are asking me to pay monthly compensation for my 4 year contract. That would be a huge amount I don't even have that much.
