Hi,

I never heard of permanent visa. It is only the dependant visa you need to apply and it gets converted to resident ID (iqama) when your family is in Saudi.

Hope this clarifies.

I don't know why people don't get this. Every other day, someone says permanent visa. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PERMANENT VISA IN SAUDI - whether work or family.  The word permanent implies a lifetime visa with residence which is not the case. It is either a work visa or a dependent visa which are both renewable every year.

The closest thing to a permanent visa in Saudi is the premier residency. The 800K option where you get a visa that lasts your lifetime.
