How good is the offer

Hi everyone, I would highly appreciate sharing your thoughts on this one:
I got an offer from a school with the following
Basic Salary: QAR 3500

飩� Shared Accommodation: QAR 2,500 (deductible, if accommodation is provided by the school)

飩� Transport: QAR 2000

飩� COLA: QAR 5000

飩� Others: QAR 1500

Total monthly salary and allowances 14500 [Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred] Qatari Riyals Only

Now, as I am not in Q but in another GCC country at the moment, I need a simple answer - how much do I get for sure per month? This "basic salary" thingie confuses me and I need to know that I would get the stated total amount every single month including holidays.

it so7nds like a scam, i mean how much will you get in the bank each month? 3500?

The breakdown between basic and allowances is normal, however the basic is usually about 60% of the overall package.

The reason they do this is because the end of service is calculated on the basic not the package. so they reduce their costs.

Now I do not understand what the 5000 Cola and 1500 others allowances are for. You should find out. But it does not really matter, just make sure what could be removed if they provide something. Eg housing if housing provided, transport if transport provided, etc...

Now the other thing is to find out if the allowances are paid during vacation and if the vacation ticket is paid or is it considered to be part of the allowances.
