Hi Sarraah01,

Íæż½ã½ãriates are allowed to invest in properties within what is known as the 'Integrated Tourism Complexes' (ITC). There are quite a few across Oman and in Muscat.

Some notable names are the Al Mouj, Barr Al Jissah, Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club, Al Siffah Resort, Saraya Bandar Jissah Muscat Bay and Salalah Beach Resort.

Five more are in the offing : Diyar Ras Al Hadd Resort, Omagine Project, Quriyat Integrated Project, Naseem Al Sabaah Project and Al Nakheel Project.

The properties there are not sold outright but are leased for extended periods to the expatriates. And, obviously for them to stay there, such expatriates are also provided with long-term residency visas.

Since the specifics would vary from one ITC to another, it is best that you contact them directly (or visit their website) for more detailed information.

Al Nakheel is the company from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Makhtoum, UAE, as far i know.
Not sold outright? Only deeded then?
Taxation in Oman?

thank you

Hi Guys,

ITCs in Oman are freehold and not leasehold. Leasehold is deeded for a number of years and then taken back but freehold means its for however long you wish to keep it within the family since its hereditary as well.
