Usually, when they asked you during the interview if you have any questions... that would have been the ideal time to ask when you can expect to hear from them, when you should follow up, when they intend to choose the successful candidate, what are the next steps.

If you were not able to ask them at that time... your next option is a thank you letter. Have you written them a thank you letter after the interview? If you haven't,聽 then you can write one now and let them know that you're still excited to take the job opportunity.聽 That will remind them that you've been waiting.

If you have written your thank you letter, then email them and ask if there are any documents that you need to get ready while waiting to hear from them.

I had my initial interview with the HR, who said I will get a panel interview next week.聽 But it took them 3 weeks. But then again, I had an interview with 5 doctors. So not easy to organize.

Then I was informed that they would like me to join their team and will hear from them in 3-5 days. But when I sent my thank you for the interview email, I was told they will give me the job offer in 1 week max, as they're still interviewing. But they also said I should send them my documents now as the ministry needs them for verification.聽

Not sure how it works in the academe, but that's my experience in healthcare.聽 Also, your job is tied to the school calendar, so there is no big rush for them, if school doesn't start until September?

Where are you in Canada? And where is your job prospect located in Kuwait?

Thanks so much for this information and for your help. I had sent them a thank you letter with all my documents after the interview. It has been almost a week with no response. Like you said, I will email them to inquire about whether they want any further documents.
I am from Toronto Ontario got interviewed for a position in Hawally. Im hoping that they will get back to me soon. Thanks so much again for your help!

I鈥檓 in the same boat, I鈥檓 from the UK and the school is based in salmiya. I have emailed accepting the position and they said they will be in touch but haven鈥檛 heard anything for over a week now, I know they have contacted my current school for references.
