Oh that is toatly fine sherri. The sports city there has lessons for tennis, soccer, swimming, and they even have a gym with ladies time and men time, also swimming times for women and kids. it is accross from the safeway just have your hubby or family ask for a brochure.

So after doing a little research I have fond the greatest place. Al-Hussein Youth City Club. It is the best that I have found so far!!! Here is the website:



We looked into Hotel memberships but they are expensive and well to say the least "stuffy" The membership for hotels usually run 1050+ (jd) and that is just for 1 person. But a family membership (2 adults) is just over 1000jd/year and kids under 5 are free.

Also they have the Jordanian Olympic committee is there so lessons are in abundance. For example 5 lessons is only 75jd.

The place is huge they have horseback riding, about 3 pools (one Olympic outdoor) a kids pool with slides, and an indoor pool, tennis courts, soccer fields, running track, and an outdoor walking/jogging path, a gym for exercise with aerobics instruction. And best of all it is CLEAN!

Can you tell I am thrilled!!!!

Those are the most popular, but of course there are other smaller ones.

Does anyone know if there are any dance studios for teenagers - my daughter is working towards her grade 4 Ballet exam & is doing modern dance and jazz where we live now, but we are hoping to move to Amman in September and I'd like to know if there are facilities for these activities.

In amman you can check Fitness Platinum in abdoun for swimming classes, but quite expensive 20jd per class but they are flexible in timings, very professional and take children from early age of 3 years. Check also any fitness first center. I think also they have programs for children with more reasonable fees.
