Can anybody share the new guidelines regarding the Indemnity Pay in Bahrain?


Here are some of the rumors by some Íæż½ã½ãs in Bahrain re. Indemnity Pay.


  1. An Íæż½ã½ã can only get the indemnity pay if he leaves Bahrain permanently.
  2. Govt shall give indemnity pay to Íæż½ã½ã accumulated from April 2023 or date when the Private Employer started to pay the monthly end-of-service contributions electronically through the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) portal.

We were told by HR that the government will start to process the application of indemnity through SIO portal after the expat leaves Bahrain.


Is there anybody here knows about it or experience the indemnity application thru SIO?

When you move from the visa of the employer whether by cancelling and leaving Bahrain or transferring to another employer while staying in Bahrain.
