Hello!

I would like to get some info about the possibilities to work as self employed in Bahrain.

Currently, I am a performing artist and personal trainer in UAE and I would like to come to Bahrain to do the same activities on a freelance basis.

Please, can anyone advise me on the procedure?

Hi,

For self employment you need to open up a company. Bahrain does not have concept of freelance for expats. You need a visa to work here and you can work for one employer only (by law).聽 However, freelancing can be done remotely if somone is willing to opt for it.

I am banning the previous poster.聽 There is no such thing as a legal free visa.聽 What he is doing is selling work visas which will land you into trouble if you are caught by LMRA during their inspection sweeps.......leading to fines and deportation.
