Hi, the best way to make friends in Lausanne is to get out there. There are several (live) social networking groups you an join and find likeminded people. Try these for starters:

There are also lots of clubs:

Toastmasters (Geneva, Lausanne, Vevey)
Women in Trade (much less formal that it sounds)
International Women's Club, Lausanne

And a quick search for Lausanne on Facebook will give you a list of FB groups of people in the area.
