Dear all,

I am planning to relocate close to Basel from Italy. My priorities as expat are to find good public schools for my son (will be 10 years old, no german speaker).

Do you have suggestions on specific schools ? I would like my son would integrate with local but important will be the offers in terms of language integration.

I am targeting Riehen (BS) but I see that in Kaiseraugst (AG)聽 or Rheinfelden (AG), taxes are quite lower.

@fcpartizan98 In Switzerland your child will be placed at school where you live . My opinion smaller the village better the school. In city itself as school is full of students, kid gets less attention.

In term of language , normally at school they place kids to additional classes to learn the language and children learn it pretty fast, so no worries.

@sabina leglise Hi Sabina, thank you a lot for your advice! I read about those parallel class-rooms, seems to get expats learning german before entering the regular classroom. I read also that school is assigned based on where you live, that's why I am trying to choose the apartment based on where is placed the suggested school for an expat. Not easy getting this info , but let's see.
