Moving from Germany to Spain because of work

kratikus

Hi there,

I got a job position in the Electronics Engineering field, and I would be moving from Germany to Valencia in the next few months in case everything goes as planned.
I know that a few years ago Spain had a very unfortunate financial crisis, and therefore I am pondering whether I should take the risk of leaving a stable position / country and adventuring myself in this great place.
What are your thoughts?

I would say "Do It" !!!! We have been living here for 3 years and have no regrets. Spain is a beautiful country, and Valencia is a wonderful city -- we lived near there for our first year. It is affordable here, and the people are so welcoming. Do It!!!

I would agree- Spain has so far (4 years) been a great move for us.
However, I'd say that you have to do it with your eyes open  and make sure you have a job/business and some kind of financial back up plan, as nothing is guaranteed in life. And the experience of others can't really predict what it will be like for you.
But, I'd certainly say it's better to take a  chance on something than live with regrets that you didnt.
Wishing you the best:)

Thanks for the replies!
I am going to give it a chance and see what happens.
Despite some uncertainties I am very excited!
